Competition Obedience

Whether you are just looking to start out in obedience or rally, or you’re looking for the precision and feedback that will help you go all the way to an OTCH, we have the class that will help get you there.

Our emphasis is on understanding and teaching excellent training, rather than on simply training the competition exercises, and our goal is for you to learn how to have fun while gaining cooperation and building a strong relationship with your dog.

MasterPeace Dog Training has an incredibly talented group of competition obedience and rally instructors, three of whom are AKC obedience judges and one a Rally judge. All of the instructors have put many advanced titles on their own dogs  and have guided their students to do the same. Masterpeace offers Introduction, Novice, Open and Utility level classes.

Rally Obedience

Rally Obedience is a timed course using directional signs to guide the handler through the course. The team of dog and handler heel from sign to sign and perform the exercises indicated by the sign at that location. One of the exceptional features of Rally Obedience is that handlers may talk to their dogs, giving them praise, encouragement, or give repeated commands or hand signals. Rally emphasizes fun and excitement. See our class schedule for times and starting dates. (Basic Competition Obedience is a required pre-requisite and dogs should know heeling, fronts and finishes.)
